A. Opal Graham, 95, of Crown City, graduated to heaven on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born May 12, 1913 in Crown City, daughter of the late Jesse and Eliza Ours Sims. Opal was married to Clovis Oren Graham and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1982. She was a member of Crown City United Methodist Church and attended Bethlehem Church of Rocky Fork. She was a seamstress. Surviving are one daughter, Kathryn Curtis Sheets of Grove City; two sons, Richard O. Carol Graham of Gallipolis and Danny D. Linda Graham of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren; one sister, Jessie Mae Bills, of Crown City. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Halley, five sisters, Iva Gillispie, Myrtle McCroskey, Ina Caldwell, Arlie Brumfield, and Pearl Williams and two brothers, Norris Sims and Ernest Sims. Services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
