Adam K. Scott

Adam K. Scott, 26, of Cheshire, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 10, 2008 as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born November 12, 1981 in Gallipolis, son of Linda Reese and Richard Scott. Adam graduated in 2000 from River Valley High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center. His first employment while still in school was Bob Evans in Gallipolis, then Thomas-Do-It Center in Pt. Pleasant, and for the past seven years at Southern Cabinetry, where he installed cabinets in schools and hospitals. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheel riding and white water rafting. He attended Little Kyger Congregational Christian Church in Cheshire. Surviving him are his mother and stepfather, Linda and Mike Reese of Cheshire; his father and stepmother, Richard and Kay Scott of Crown City; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Stephanie Scott of Fairmont, WV and Kelly and Justin Hesson of Gallipolis; grandparents, Dale and Hazel Workman and Geneva Scott, all of Gallipolis; two nieces and one nephew, Broderick and Avery Rohrbaugh of Fairmont, WV and Kirsten Hesson of Gallipolis. He had an extended family of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, step brothers and step sisters. Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lewis Scott. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Fetty officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Brian Angell, Dwayne Angell, Chris Hill, Buddy Spires, Jeremy Cremeans, Adam Kingery, Kenny Vose, and Brad Johnson. Adam was a very caring person and enjoyed helping others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
