Alfred L. Buck Warren

Alfred L. 'Buck' Warren, 80, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 02, 2008 at the home of his daughter Karen. Buck was a retired telephone line contractor foreman and an U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran. He was born on December 3, 1927 in Gallia County, son of the late Wye Wakefield Warren and Garnett Lucy Waugh Warren. He is survived by three daughters, Karen Steve Owens Blankenship of Gallipolis, Connie Keith Brannen of Crown City, and Cheryl Dray of Gallipolis; five sons Gerald Nettie Ann Warren of Gallipolis, Roger Warren of Jackson, Larry Pam Warren of Bidwell, Wayne Warren of Wilkesville, and Terry Warren of Gallipolis; one sister Mable McQuaid of Gallipolis, one brother Robert S. Warren of Bidwell; one sister-in-law Nancy Warren of Gallipolis; 15 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Buck was preceded in death by a brother, James L. 'Bo' Warren and a son-in-law Gary Dray. Services will be 11 am Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tim Lewis, Kendall Mullins, John Grubb, Rodney Sexton, Jerry Bias and Steve Owens. Full military rites will be given at the graveside by volunteers of area veteran lodges.
