Amber D. Doss

Amber D. Doss, 42, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on May 25, 1979 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Amber was the daughter of Christi Howell White and David Smith. Amber married Phillip T. Doss, who survives her in Gallipolis. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union. Amber is survived by her husband, Phillip T. “Willie” Doss of Gallipolis; son, Dakota Doss of Huntington, West Virginia; step granddaughters, Breanna Doss and Nora Doss; mother and stepfather, Christi (Charles R.) White of Nitro, West Virginia; father, David Smith of Syracuse, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Janice Howell of Gallipolis; sister, Randi Leah Morgan of Bidwell, Ohio; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Amber was preceded in death by a daughter, Nora Doss in infancy; maternal grandfather, Ballard Howell; and paternal grandparents, Rena and Foster VanSickle. The funeral service for Amber will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Reynolds Cemetery.
