Aneita Kay Mayo, 57, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Midwest Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois. She was born May 29, 1952 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, daughter of the late Sheldon B. Hill and Ina Absten Jones. She was married to Keith Mayo and he survives her. She was employed by Holzer Medical Center for over 30 years as a dietary clerk in the Nutrition Services Department. Kay enjoyed her grandkids and gardening. Surviving are her husband, Keith Mayo of Gallipolis; two daughters, Jamie Dawn Hollis Lee Mooney and Stephanie Suzanne Buddy Harbour, both of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Bryan 'Devin' Kirby, Hunter Reed Mooney, MacKenzie Elizabeth Frum, and Darcie Gabrielle Harbour; two sisters, Betty Scott of Logansport, Indiana and Mary John Ross of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; one brother, Sheldon B. Hill Jr. of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and several close friends and co-workers at Holzer Medical Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nick Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, October 15, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Lee Mooney, Buddy Harbour, Devin Kirby, Fred Helms, Rob Helms, and Rocky Wade. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Mooney. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kay's memory to either the American Cancer Society or Gallia County Relay for Life.
