Ann Sanders

Ann Sanders, 72, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born February 25, 1936 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Charles A. and Laura Jeffreys Nuckles. Ann had been married to Sidney A. Sanders and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2006. She retired as a legal secretary for Gallia County Common Pleas Court and was also employed at the law office of Albert Eaton and a Weight Watchers Instructor, while in Florida. Ann was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of Ocoee Oaks United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society and the Performing Christian Clown Ministry. Surviving are her sons, Gregory D. Nelson, Jeff S. Valerie Nelson and Christopher D. DeShawn Sanders, all of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Alyssa Nelson Lucas, Jared and Seth Nelson, Jeremy Davis, Kayla Sanders, Brianna Sanders, and Grant Sanders; and a brother, Charles A. 'Pete' Ann Nuckles of Gallipolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sidney A. Sanders and a grandson Derek Nelson. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
