Anne Belville Thompson, 73, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. She was born April 8, 1937 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Everett and Helen Elizabeth Dailey Burcham. She was married to her second husband, Lonnie Thompson, who preceded her in death in August, 2010. Anne was a 1955 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and attended Rio Grande College. She was employed as the Clerk of the Hannan Trace Local School Board and later at the Gallia County Local School Board and the Gallia County Job and Family Services Department. Anne was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan and also enjoyed reading, genealogy and her two dogs. Surviving are her son, Thomas L. Belville and her daughter, Teresa Belville Marchi (Dave Walters), both of Gallipolis; three stepchildren, Larry Thompson, Lonna Wade, Theresa Thompson; her first husband, John L. Belville of Gallipolis; other family members, Helen Belville, Evelyn Belville, Harold and Nancy Belville, Marjorie Belville, Bob and Leah Wion, Dr. Keith Sheets, Roger and Carol Belville; special friends, Lucille Davis, Terry and Teddi Burnett, Janice Stanley, Randy and Debbie Halley, Dianne Wheeler, Dr. Angie Shelton, Scott and Kim Caldwell, Dean Rees, as well as many other family and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Lonnie Thompson, and her cousins Daryl and Wyman Sheets. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crown City Cemetery.
