Arnold Lee "Arnie" Jividen

Arnold Lee "Arnie" Jividen, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side.  Arnie was born on February 19, 1948 in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Arnold Ray and Mildred (Hill) Jividen.

Arnie was a graduate of Logan Elm High School and a retired Boilermaker with Local 105 Piketon, Ohio.  He was a member of Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7 and a lifetime member of the Kanauga Gun Club.  After retirement, Arnie enjoyed his farm "The Ponderosa" and spending time with his grandchildren on the farm.  He was an avid gardener of horticulture beans and enjoyed being a "side-porcher" of Brick School Road, waving at people as they drove by.  If you didn't wave back, he would let you know by a gesture indicating "You are number one."

Arnie is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Margaret (Campbell) Jividen "Sweet Pea" of 50 years of marriage; two children, Sonya Leigh (Joey) Hamilton of Gallipolis and Josh (Nicole) Jividen of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Mallory Jo Hamilton and Malachi Joseph Hamilton, Ethan Ray Jividen, and Emma Grace Jividen all of Gallipolis; brother, David "Fudd" (Sandy) Jividen of Bidwell; special sister-in-law, Cindy Sue (Paul) Taylor of St. Mary's, West Virginia; special niece, Amanda Jean (Jeromie) Burr and Ashton, Easton, and Eli of Rockport, West Virginia; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Moody and Helen Jividen and Ray and Bell Hill; sister, Sharon Hayes; and brother, Dean "Lizard" Jividen.

The funeral service for Arnie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Tim Nichols officiating.  Burial will follow on the Jividen Family Farm.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.  A Masonic Service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
