Arthur Jeffrey "Jeff" Hart

Arthur Jeffrey “Jeff” Hart, 68, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at his residence.

Born on April 19, 1955 in Mason, West Virginia, Jeff was the son of the late Arthur H. and Drusilla Wolfe Hart.  On January 25, 1980, Jeff married Phyllis Sheppard Hart, who survives him in Gallipolis; they celebrated 44 years of marriage this year.  Jeff was a graduate of Wahama High School Class of 1973.  He was a manager of Foodland/Piggly Wiggly for 40 years.  Jeff enjoyed golfing, fishing with his grandchildren, and going to casinos; he called himself “Jeff Hand Pay Hart.”  He also enjoyed spending time with his Woodgate Way extended family.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hart of Gallipolis; son, Corey (Emily) Hart of West Chester, Ohio; daughter, Heather (David) Hart Schuler of Johnston, Ohio; four grandchildren, Harrison Rockwell, Lillian Hart, Owen Schuler, and Olivia Hart; sister, Tammy (Chuck) Lane of New Haven, West Virginia; nephews, Bradley (Melissa) Sheppard of St. Albans, West Virginia and Michael Sheppard of Buffalo, West Virginia; niece, Jennifer (Chris) Crawford of Hilliard, Ohio; and sisters-in-law, Polly Huffman Sheppard and Lois Sheppard both of Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

At this time, no public services are planned.  Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
