Averie A. Kirk

Averie A. Kirk, 57, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at her residence. Averie was born on February 21, 1965 in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Margaret Black Buchan. Averie was a licensed cosmetologist and beautician, having worked at Brenda's Kut and Kurl in Gallipolis. Averie is survived by her husband, Raymond Kirk; one sister, Carolyne Black of Hoover, Alabama; one aunt, Carolyn Smith of Solon, Ohio; two nephews, Sean (Tiffany) Willis of Helena, Alabama and Lucas Black Willis of Birmingham, Alabama; four great nephews, Matthew Williams, Damon Willis, Sean Willis Jr. and Jayden Willis; sister-in-law, Robin Newlen of Columbus, Ohio; special friends, Brenda Porter of Gallipolis, Jackie Stegall of Bidwell, Alexis Stegall of Pomeroy, Sariah Brinker of Logan, Ohio, and Amy Bumgardner of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; and two cats, Bella and Robin. In addition to her mother, Averie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Luke and Willa Black, with whom Averie had lived in her early years. A graveside service for Averie will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Clay Chapel Church with Pastor Todd Bowers officiating.
