Barbara A. Ferguson

Barbara A. Ferguson, 65, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at her residence. Born on May 30, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Barb was the daughter of Lawrence Wilcoxon, who survives her in Gallipolis, and the late Reba M. Carroll Wilcoxon. Barb married Russell L. Ferguson, who preceded her in death on January 19, 2022. In 2007, Barb retired as a TPW from the Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1975. Barb is survived by her daughter, Megan Ferguson Remy; son, Russell “Rusty” Ferguson; grandchildren, Jude and Coralee Remy; father, Lawrence Wilcoxon; sisters, Jeannie (Keith) Williams of Gallipolis, Tara (Rick) Whaley of Gallipolis, Judy Wilcoxon of Gallipolis, and Jody Wilcoxon of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews; and her pet, Peach. In addition to her mother Reba and her husband Russell, Barb was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Sue Reynolds. In accordance with Barb’s wishes, there will not be any public services.
