Bertha "Bert" Evelyn Diehl

Bertha “Bert” Evelyn Diehl, 81, of Patriot, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 30, 1932 in Meigs County, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer Leroy Proffitt and Edra Emma Lathey. Bertha was married to Charles Henry Diehl and he preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Blackman of Las Vegas, Nevada and a son, Wayne Roger Staats; a sister, Janet (Richard) Theiss of Patriot and a brother, Gordon Proffitt of Portland, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Meigs County, Ohio with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating.
