Betty J. Perry, 76, of Vinton, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1932 in Cabell County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Harry 'Jake' and Edna Byrd Ray. Betty was married to Ray Perry and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2006. She retired as a riverboat cook. Surviving are her three children, Rodney D. Trina Perry of Vinton, Raymond A. Perry of South Point, and John E. Terri Perry of Patriot; eight grandchildren, Chris Perry, Stephanie Perry Browning, Jeremy Perry, Betty Perry Stover, Jason Perry, Sarah Perry Fain, Nate Stanley, Lyndsai McClaskey; six great grandchildren, Katelyn Browning, Jake Browning, Aaron Browning, Quynn Stover, Jeremiah Stover, Isaac Fain; five sisters, Maxine Hagley, Nellie Harshbarger, Early Massie, Reba Dunford, and Mary Brubaker. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the First Nazarene Church with Pastors Bob Fulton and Eugene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Reynolds Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Perry, Jeremy Perry, Jake Browning, Jack Sexton, Jason Perry and Bobby McClaskey.
