Bonnie Mae Hutton

February 3, 1924 — March 27, 2006

Bonnie Mae Hutton, 82, of Gallipolis, passed away on March 27, 2006 at her home in Gallipolis, after fighting a long battle with cancer. She was born February 3, 1924 in Gallia County, the daughter of the late James Arch Danner and Hattie Walter Danner. She graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1941. On September 7, 1946, she married James Monroe Hutton, who preceded her in death. She retired in 1994, after 25 years of service as an LPN at Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens. She loved being outdoors working in her yard and flowers and she was always there with a helping hand when her family and friends needed her. Surviving are her three daughters, Cheryl Alden Wedemeyer, Brenda Terry Cremeens, and Karen Robert Chevalier, all of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Jamie Laurie Chevalier, Bradley Tanya Cremeens, Tara Michael Woodrum, Brett Shanda Cremeens and Andrea Chevalier who lovingly helped take care of her grandma during her illness; five great grandchildren, Cassidy Brooke Woodrum, Alyssa Noel and Noah Bradley Cremeens, Ashley Elizabeth Chevalier and Chanee Brooke Cremeens; a step granddaughter, Jessica Wedemeyer; two sisters, Isobel Sheets and Mariam Pursley, both of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews; and a host of very dear friends. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, by a sister, Shirley Boster, a brother, Walter Danner and two very special friends, Junior and Mary Bostic. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jamie Chevalier, Bradley Cremeens, Brett Cremeens, Michael Woodrum, Larry Sheets and Brian Bostic. Honorary pallbearers will be Marion Caldwell and Alden Wedemeyer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bonnie’s memory to Holzer Hospice of Gallipolis or the American Cancer Society.
