Brendea E. Copley

Brendea E. Copley, 41, of Athens, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long and courageous battle with health issues on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Cleveland Clinic. She was born January 26, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late David Lacey and Wanda Lee Brown, who survives her. She was a licensed cosmetologist and hair dresser. Brendea was a member of Albany Baptist Church. She will be missed by all as a great friend and mother. Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth H. Copley of Athens; her son, Levi Z. (Crystal) Copley of Pomeroy; a stepdaughter, Toni Marie Parker of Indianapolis, Indiana; a granddaughter, Carissa J. Copley of Pomeroy; her mother, Wanda Brown of Reynoldsburg; three brothers, Joseph Lacey and Danny Lacey, both of Williamstown and Larry Lacey of Circleville; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and Linda Copley Sr.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Alderigi; brothers-in-law, Roger K. Copley, Bradley A. Copley, and Daniel Wells; additional family, Kamryn E. and Elaine Hamilton and Nick hamilton, Isaiah Mullins-Hamilton, Heather Norman, Ted and Joyce Mullins, all of New Marshfield, Ohio; and good friends, Vera Heady, Ben and Freida Carsey, and Joy of Athens. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Copley Jr. on January 3, 2010 and a daughter, Kimberly Copley. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bert Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
