Broderick "Brad" Painter

May 27, 1953 — January 13, 2025

Broderick “Brad” Painter passed away peacefully at his home in Thurman, Ohio on January 13, 2025 at 6:18 p.m., surrounded by his loved ones. Brad was a well-known local artist, teacher, coach, mentor, fisherman, and most of all a loving, fun, kind, gentle husband, father, grandfather “Poppy,” brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved to create works of art, fish, coach, teach, and just plain out be goofy! He would give the shirt off his back to help his fellow man and would do anything for a laugh or smile! He was a fun-loving man, full of life, and had the ability to make those around him smile! He loved his family, friends, and students. He created works of art that fill the homes of so many people and canvased the community with his creativity and love! His smile and laugh will be dearly missed and will echo in the hearts of those who knew him for eternity! He was known as Poppy to his grandchildren who loved him so much, and he loved them! We love you, Poppy, and you will forever be in our hearts!
