Bronis L. Persons

Bronis L. Persons, 87, of Pomeroy, Ohio, formerly of Gallia County, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Arbors at Pomeroy.  Bronis was born on June 22, 1937 in Pike County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Alfred and Betty Thompson Young.

Bronis was married to Robert L. Persons on October 23, 1954; and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2014.  She is survived by five daughters, Margaret Geiger of Gallipolis, B.J. (Scott) Eichinger of Gallipolis, Janet (Mike) Zweifel of Gallipolis, Christene (Mike) Martin of Chester, Ohio, and Barbara (Jim) Harris of Latrobe, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Lucy Robinette of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.  Bronis enjoyed singing and taking car rides.  In addition to her parents and husband, Bronis was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Hawley; a grandson; a great granddaughter; five brothers, John Jr., Harmon, Malcolm, Buddy, and Curtis Young; and two sisters, Grace and Christeen.

A funeral service for Bronis will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Lemley officiating.  Her burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the funeral home from noon until 1:00 p.m.
