Carol Yvonne Robinson

Carol Yvonne (Fowler) Robinson was born the daughter of James Henry and Mary Gertrude (Brown) Fowler on February 15, 1935 in Gallipolis, Ohio.  She graduated from Gallia Academy High School Class of 1953 and Holzer School of Nursing in 1960.  Carol married Charles E. “Chuck” Robinson of Bidwell in 1955.  To this union were born Janet Lynn Lent of Hocking Hills and Rebecca Sue (Mike) Sagar of Ashland, Ohio, who survive, along with grandchildren, Daniel Charles (Rachelle) Eshelman, Timothy (Jennifer) Eshelman, Lisa Rader (Mike) Yocum, and Cierra Campbell (Dakota) Miller; great grandchildren, Tyler Charles Eshelman, Ryan Austin Eshelman, Sylas Eshelman, Myles Eshelman, Alexandrea Eshelman, Maleah Eshelman, M J Tipple, Ella Rose Yocum, Ethan Jeffrey Yocum, Maddox Yocum, Maia Miller, Cyrus Miller, Dakota Stiffarm, and Rebecca Stiffarm; and sister, Nancy Clark of Gallipolis.

After 30 years living and working at various nursing jobs in Columbus, Carol and Chuck returned to retire in Gallia County.  They enjoyed researching their genealogy and were members of the Gallia County Genealogical and Historical Association.  They traveled, hiked, and appreciate the outdoors.  Carol helped organize and was the coordinator for the Adult Daycare of Gallia County.  Carol’s greatest hobby was oil painting which she shared with her family and friends.  After Chuck’s death on February 21, 2015, Carol spent the rest of her life with her large family and special friends living in Ashland, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Lent and brother-in-law, Delbert Clark.

The funeral service for Carol will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Thom Mollohan officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends and family may call prior to the service Monday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Carol’s nursing career will be honored with a special tribute presented by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley.
