Carolyn L. Chapman, 70, of Crown City, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 13, 2009 at her residence. Carolyn was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and going to church. She enjoyed cooking big family dinners. Carolyn was a prayer warrior and a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Carolyn was born on October 11, 1939 in Gallia County to the late Lawrence Craig and Juanita Waugh Craig who survives her in Crown City. Carolyn married David B. Chapman on April 14, 1956 and he survives her. Also surviving are five children, Sherri J. Bob Shaw Johnson, Terry D. Donna Chapman, Cheryl Ann Rick Clary, Craig A. Chapman, and Cindy J.R. Beaver all of Crown City;also loved like a son Jimmy Chapman;15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; her mother Juanita Craig of Crown City, and a sister Sue Wayne Brumfield Campbell of Crown City, several nieces and nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Craig. Funeral services will be1 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastors Todd Bowers and Jim Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 6 -8 pm. Pallbearers will be David D. Johnson, Ryan Chapman, Ricky Clary, Zeph Clary, Nicholas Shaw, Derrick Beaver, Darrell Shaw, Keith Campbell, and Eddie Campbell.
