Catherine L. Mckean

Catherine L. McKean, 84, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born June 30, 1924 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Earl and Gusta E. Lanthorn Angell. Catherine was a former license bureau worker and a foster grandparent at Holzer Hospital. Surviving are two sisters, June E. Porter of Gallipolis and Carolyn R. Waldo Porter of Sandusky; one brother, Marion L. Nancy Angell of Crown City; a special nephew and niece, Mark Angell and Cheryl Angell; other nieces and nephews, Linda Lou Austin, Barbara Sue Lamb, Jim Hazlett, Brenda Harmon, Mike Porter, Ronnie Porter, Jeff Porter, Keith Porter, Tammi Green, Cathy C. Rees, Dwight Angell, Brian Lee Angell, Brandy Lynn Angell, Lester Dean Angell II; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent, her husband, Watterson McKean, two sisters, Bonnie Austin and Elsie J. Hazlett, two brothers, Bill Angell and Lester Angell and two nephews, Jimmy Dean Porter and Chester Earl Angell. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, December 20, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jack Stegall, Jack Stegall II, Zach Green, Terry Harmon, Ronnie Porter, and Keith Porter.
