Charles Lee Day

Charles L. Day, 71, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. Charles was born on May 1, 1949 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Carl and Edith McGuire Day. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monica J. Angelo Day; his son, Daniel L. Day; and one brother, Steve A. Day. Charles is survived by one daughter, Monica L. Day Markin; grandchildren, Jeremy L. Markin II, Matthew I Markin, Julie L. Thivener, Audrey G. Thivener, and Russell C. Thivener; sisters, Alice Bowyer, Nancy (Dan) Henderson, Kathy (Tim) Smith, and Vickie Buttrick; and brother-in-law, Tony Angelo. Charles enjoyed being a farmer and auto mechanic. He was a Vietnam War veteran and a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed outdoor activities and loved his family and spending time with them. Charles was a dedicated husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. A Graveside Service for Charles will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Nick Cemetery with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating.
