Charles T. Kinder, 89, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center with his family with him. He was born on January 7, 1935 in Mayslick, Kentucky, son of the late Anna Mae Kinder and George W. Kinder, Sr.
Charles was a butcher and was retired from the Bob Evans Sausage Plant. Charles most enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Julia Lynn Bates; two sisters, Mary Ragan and Virginia Stillwell; and three brothers, James Kinder, Larry D. Kinder, and George W. Kinder, Jr.
Charles is survived by one son, Charles A. (Yvonne) Kinder of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Jeremy (Mandy) Kinder of Bidwell, Joshua (Heidi) Kinder of Bidwell and their son Chase Kinder who helped care for him daily, Charles J. (Jordyn) Kinder of Gallipolis, Jenna (Shane) Plantz of Gallipolis, and Lyndsey Bates of Gallipolis; step granddaughters, Brittany Murphy of Vinton, Samantha (B.J.) Smith of Ripley, West Virginia, and Melissa Wise of Gallipolis; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Tom Gardner and Bill Wells.
The funeral service for Charles will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Matson officiating. His burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
