Charlotte Irion, 83, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born March 12, 1925 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Florence Taylor Simms. She was married to Kenneth Irion and he survives her. Charlotte was a 1942 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and worked for the Farm Bureau and Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Ladies Circle at the Church. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth Irion of Columbus; a son, Frank Irion of Columbus; a grandson, Nathan Irion of Helena, Montana; three brothers, Jack Minada Simms, Jim Bonnie Simms and Jay Lois Jean Simms, all of Gallipolis; a sister, Mrs. John Jane Milhoan of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Bob and Bill Simms and a nephew, Eddy Simms. Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Caleb Fooce, David Fooce, Brent Simms, Bob Simms, Jimmy Simms, and John Milhoan.
