Clarence Wilson “Bill” Waugh, 86, of Patriot, Ohio, formerly of Warren, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Arbors of Gallipolis. Born on April 25, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio, Bill was the son of the late Amel “Cooney” and Lyla Beaver Waugh. In 1974, Bill married Mary Lou Phillips Waugh, who preceded him in death on June 26, 2017. Bill was a retired telephone lineman and a car enthusiast. Bill is survived by two daughters, Dreama (Keith) Marcum of Vinton, Ohio and Bonita (Kenneth) Fleming of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; sons, Terry Waugh of Point Pleasant, Timothy (Joan) Waugh of Patriot, Roger Waugh of Patriot, and Chris (Crystal) Waugh of Patriot; step children, Debbie Pugh of Jackson, Tennessee, George R. Lynch, Jr. of Bristolville, Ohio, and Mark A. Lynch of Bristolville; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice “Bea” Johnson of Crown City, Ohio, Fern Mooney of Gallipolis, Ohio, Karen (Dean) Brownell of Gallipolis, Connie (Billy) Johnson of Crown City, and Merrill Richard (Della) Waugh of Crown City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen Swigle and siblings, Inez McGuire, Mary Lou Curry, John Lee Waugh, William Eugene Waugh, Amel Waugh, and Harlan Bub Waugh. The funeral service for Bill will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Biars officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC guidelines of social distancing and are required to follow the Ohio mandate of wearing face masks.
