Claudia Lynn Yoho

July 22, 1957 — May 27, 2015

Claudia Lynn Yoho passed away on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Martin, Kentucky on July 22nd, 1957 to John and Barbara Moore. Lynn worked for more than 30 years as an elementary school teacher. She taught at Washington Elementary in Gallipolis, Ohio and at Mark Twain Elementary in Westerville, Ohio. She was passionate about teaching, and felt that her students were truly a part of her family. She especially loved to help children learn to read. She also loved to travel, and spent much of her last years planning and taking vacations with her family. Some of her favorite destinations were the beach and Disney World. Lynn fought a hard, courageous three year battle with breast cancer and never wavered in her determination to stay around for her family as long as possible. She is survived by her husband Brad, children, Matthew (Megan) and Sarah, son-in-law Jordan, parents John and Barbara Moore, brother John D. Moore and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, May 29th from 4-7 PM at Hill Funeral Home at 220 S. State St., Westerville, Ohio 43081; followed by calling hours on Saturday, May 30th at Willis Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and funeral on Sunday, May 31st at 2 PM at Willis Funeral Home, 12 Garfield Ave., Gallipolis, Ohio 45631 with Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. There will be a reception immediately following the interment at Grace United Methodist Church in Gallipolis, Ohio.
