Clifton R. Bowyer

Clifton R. Bowyer, 41, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born February 11, 1971 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Clifford R. and Alice Day Bowyer and they survive him. He was a laborer and a member of Promised Land Church. Surviving are his children, Chase Bowyer, Michael Bowyer, Cliffy Bowyer, Nancy Bowyer and Shannan Bowyer, all of Gallipolis; stepson, Persley McGuire of Gallipolis; a grandson, Isaah Bowyer; parents Clifford R. and Alice Bowyer of Crown City; special companion, Christina Bowyer of Crown City; the mother of his daughters, Carissa Bowyer Clagg of Gallipolis; two sisters, Nettie Rupe of Gallipolis and Crystal May of Crown City; special nephews, Shane Rupe and Christopher Rupe; and nieces, Dannia May, Tashisa May, and Kaila Rupe. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mercerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12- 1 p.m. prior to the service Saturday. Pallbearers will be Chris Rupe, Shane Rupe, David Denny, William Rupe, Bill May and Eugene Roach. Honorary pallbearers will be Persley McGuire and Donovan Blake.
