Clyde E. Ferguson, 87, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Scenic Hills Nursing Center. He was born November 23, 1922 in Fort Gay, West Virginia, son of the late Freelin and Effie Ferguson. Clyde married Cora Grace Haynie and she survives him. He was a World War II Army veteran. Clyde was a farmer and attended Faith Baptist Church in Rodney. Surviving are his wife Cora Ferguson of Oak Hill; three sons, Alan Ferguson of Nelsonville, Tim Denise Ferguson of Lilburm, Georgia and Jerry Molly Ferguson of Georgetown, Kentucky; a daughter, Beverly Jerry Baker of Huber Heights; five grandchildren, Theresa and Jennifer Baker, Chelsea Bell, Shannon and Parker Ferguson; three sisters, Lola Shy of Princeton, West Virginia, Dorothy Napier of Kenova, West Virginia, and Betty Stewart of Louisville, Kentucky. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Ruben, Golden, Basil and Gordon Ferguson and three sisters Daisy Ferguson, Hazel Lyons, and Myrtle Fischer. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, West Virginia with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kenova, West Virginia. Friends may call on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, Ohio and on Wednesday from 12- 1 p.m., prior to the service at the Rollins Funeral Home.
