Daniel P. "Dan" Mahan, 74, of Cheshire, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1946 in Valley City, Ohio, son of the late George and Ruby Mullett Mahan. Dan retired from Burnett's Heating and Cooling and was a member of the Addison Freewill Baptist Church and the Centerville Masonic Lodge. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting for mushrooms. Dan was married to Judy Michael Mahan and she preceded him in death in 2020. He is survived by a son Steven (Linda) Mahan of Gallipolis; step daughter Tami (Alan) Sheets of Gallipolis; three grandchildren Stevie Mahan, Lindsay McCoy and Mathew (Brandie) McCoy; seven great grandchildren; two sisters Helen (Jim) Bishop of Grove City, Ohio and Carol Mahan of Gallipolis. In addition to his wife Judy, Dan was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernal Edward Mahan and Herb Mahan. The funeral service for Dan will be 1 pm Monday, November 2, 2020 at Willis Funeral Home, with Pastors Rick Barcus and Jack Parsons officiating. His burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday prior to the funeral from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to follow CDC guidelines and Ohio mandates of social distancing and wearing of facemasks.
