Darrell L. Day

Darrell L. Day, 87, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Oakwood Community Health Center in Jackson, Ohio. Born on May 23, 1933 in Gallia County, Ohio, Darrell was the son of the late James Frank and Sadie Cox Day. Darrell was married to Clara Grover Day, who preceded him in death on October 23, 2019. Teaching refrigeration, Darrell was a vocational teacher at Buckeye Hills Career Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Darrell was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church. Darrell is survived by his sons, Kevin (Julia) Day of Bidwell, Patrick Day of Bidwell, and Daniel (LaDonna) Day of Bidwell; grandchildren, Mallori (Chris) Spurlock, Kevin Michael (Shelly) Day, Kassandra Day, Justin Day, and Gage Day; step grandchildren, Ashley McCabe and Kylie Reagor; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife Clara, Darrell was preceded in death by a sister, Monica Geraldine Day and a brother, James Clyde Day. The funeral service for Darrell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens Chapel of Hope Mausoleum with Reverend Dan Lamphier officiating.
