David Ray Blake, Sr

David Ray Blake, Sr., 49, of Hamden, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from a work related accident in Masontown, WV. David was a professional truck driver for Austin Powder in McArthur, Ohio. He was also a former employee of Robbins and Myers, and had been a licensed social worker at Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health. David was a graduate of the University of Rio Grande, and had several courses towards his Masters Degree from Ohio University. He also graduated from Shawnee Hills Truck Academy in Portsmouth, OH. He was born on July 4, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to Donna Randolph Blake and Donald R. Blake. David is survived by his wife Kathy Brumfield Blake of Hamden, Ohio whom he married on February 2, 2004; two sons, David Rachael Blake, II of Bidwell, Douglas Blake of NY; one daughter, Melony Patrick Brown Blake of Virginia., his mother Donna Blake of Bidwell, his father Donald R. Wanda Blake of Winter Haven, FL, a sister, Sandra Richard Knepper-Cox of Gallipolis, and one brother Darren Blake of Logan, Ohio; two step-sons Clayton Ponn of Wilkesville, Ohio and Roy Ponn US Army Germany; grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Victoria Blake, step grandchildren, Jaden Leach and Scotty Jones. David was preceded in death by his first wife Vickie Green Blake in 2001 and by a grandson Ethan David Blake in 2005. Services will be 1:30 PM Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:30 pm until the time of the services.
