David Alan Pettry

David Alan Pettry, 39, of Gallipolis, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. He was born September 21, 1969 in Bethesda, Maryland, son of Sharen Givens Wamsley and she survives him. David was a construction electrician for IBEW Local 495, out of Wilmington, North Carolina. He attended New Life Lutheran Church and enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle. Surviving are his son, Austin T. Pettry of Gallipolis; his mother and stepfather, Sharen and Carl Wamsley of Gallipolis; a sister, Melissa Ann Gary Cox of Gallipolis; one niece, Hayley Cox and one nephew, Cody Cox; and his grandfather, David Givens of Gallipolis. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Stanley. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Scott Baker officiating.
