Deborah A. Stanley

Deborah A. Stanley, 68, of Patriot, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Deborah was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter of the late Rolland and Amanda Bell Schales Johnston, Sr.

She was an artist where she painted with water colors and acrylics; she had a love for music, writing poems, songs, and had a passion for birds. Deborah was married to Tony Stanley on May 16, 1990; and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2020.  Surviving Deborah are her children, Jackie McElwain (John Sharp) of Baltimore, Maryland, James (Christy Vickers) Watts, Jr. of Donaldson, Arkansas, Stephanie (Jeff) Clemmons of Donaldson, Arkansas, and Sarah (James) Smathers of Beaver, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Abigail (Ralph) Lundgren of Benton, Arkansas and Helen K. (Mike) Bentley of Gassville, Arkansas; brother, Jonathan Johnston, of Malvern, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joel Johnston, Nathan Johnston, and Rolland Johnston, Jr.

The funeral service for Deborah will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home, with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating.  Her burial will be on the Stanley Family Homeplace beside her husband Tony.  Friends may call prior to the funeral service Saturday from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
