Della K. Cox of Gallipolis, Ohio returned to her heavenly home on May 20, 2021. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her recent struggles and ultimately gave her peace. She was born July 3, 1936 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Nelson T. and Mona Whittington Myers. Della was married to William L. Cox; and her preceded her in death on October 24, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Jay Cox; twin sister, Nellie Dunlap; and brothers, Nelson and Richard Myers. Della was a member of King’s Chapel Church; she lived her life for her children and grandchildren, and her greatest desire was to help others. She retired from Robbins & Myers in Gallipolis, Ohio. Della is survived by her children, Roger (Ruby) Cox, William Cox, Reta (Mike) Montcastle, Teresa (Tim) Davis, and Jeff (Irene) Cox of Gallipolis; eleven grandchildren, Roger Jr., Dwane, Bill Jr., Paul, Heather, Jennifer, Michael, Kelly, Kimber, Trish, and Heather; eighteen great grandchildren, Mason, Josh, Brittany, Tori, Karlee, Bry, Kaylee, Mikey, Jake, Samson, Starr, Hailie, Zoie, Adrien, Malakai, Hunter, Logan, Aiden, Natalie, Aaron, Tyler, Jacob, and Ethan; sixteen great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Earl (Joy) Dunlap; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Della and her family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Zachary Bosley and his staff at Holzer-Point Pleasant, Dr. Nicolette Jones and her staff, and those individuals who work in ambulatory surgery at Holzer Medical Center for their kindness and compassion shown throughout the years.
