Delorse Joan Wamsley, 68, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on July 29, 1942 in Mason County, West Virginia daughter of the late Garnette Donohue and Clyde Connolly. Joan was a homemaker, a member of the Womens Senior Bowling League at Sky Line Lanes in Gallipolis, enjoyed painting figurines, attended White Oak Baptist Church, a 1960 Pt. Pleasant High School graduate, and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and scrapbooking. Joan was married to John F. Wamsley on July 29, 1960 in Pt. Pleasant, WV and he survives her along with her children, Deborah Diddle of Langsville, Robin Wamsley of Bidwell, Amy (Stacy) Edwards of Bidwell, Don F. (Stephanie) Wamsley of Cheshire, and Richard (Gabby) Fuller of Long Bottom, Ohio; one sister Carolyn (Stephen) White of Cottageville, WV; 9 grandchildren, Sgt. Jon (Cortney) Diddle, Kayla Diddle, Latosha Diddle, Josh (Brittany) Wamsley, Britni (Kyle) Campbell, Jesse and Jake Edwards, Chase Williams and Gracee Wamsley; 5 great grandchildren, Faith Joan, Lilly, Aiden, Hailee and Brooklyn; an extended family of sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 pm Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Carl Ward and Brian Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
