Delta Mae Phillips

Delta Mae Phillips, 94, of Crown City, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born August 26, 1916 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Lee Taylor and Ruby Ransbottom Hagerman. Delta was married to Cecil Pete Phillips in 1935 and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Virginia Stapleton of Crown City; three grandchildren, Allan Lois Stapleton of Gallipolis, Judy Wells of Crown City, Betty Jeff Belcher of McArthur; one sister, Juanita Miller of Florida; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by twin sons, a granddaughter Lois Martin, two brothers, Merrill Hagerman and Bobby Hagerman, five sisters Velma McCall, Sherline Boggs, Pauline Shields, Mary Shields, and Evelyn Adkins. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Bowers and Rev. James Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be David Allan Stapleton, Jeff Wells, John Wells, Terry Stapleton, Nick Stapleton, Doug Martin, and Mitchell Waugh.
