Dona J Sanders

Dona J. Sanders, 74, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 6, 1938 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Donald and Elsie I. Phillips Ours. Dona married Fred Sanders on December 23, 1950 in Gallipolis and he survives her. She was a homemaker and member of Mina Chapel Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred Sanders of Gallipolis; six children, Steve Brenda Sanders of Crown City, Dale Alice Sanders, of Crown City, Mark Debbie Sanders of Bidwell, Della Howard DeLong of Gallipolis, Lora Troy Delaney of Crown City and Karen John Anderson of Gallipolis; seventeen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; one brother, Max Bonnie Ours of New Holland, Ohio. Dona was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law Noah Calvin and Nancy Elizabeth Sanders. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
