Donald L. Keatley

Donald L. Keatley, 78, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 in the Emergency Room at Holzer Medical Center.  Don was born on November 16, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late John J. and Dixie Conkel Keatley.  He retired from AEP Gavin Plant in 2005 and was a graduate of McKell High School in South Shore, Kentucky.  He was a gunsmith and enjoyed studying military history and target shooting.  Don served our country in the U.S. Navy.

Don was married to Jackalin Garrett Keatley on June 8, 1968 in Minford, Ohio; and she survives him in Gallipolis along with a brother-in-law, James (Carolyn) Garrett and family of Minford, Ohio; nieces, Cathy Wallace and Cheryl McNaughton both of Oak Ridge Tennessee; several great nieces and great nephews; and a special cat Mary.  Don was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Shane Keatley on July 2, 1993; one sister, Margaret McNaughton; one brother, John R. Keatley; and two nephews, Jim and Michael McNaughton.

The Memorial Service for Don will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Sisson officiating.  Burial will follow later at the convenience of the family.  There will be a flag presentation to honor his military service at the funeral home.  Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
