Donna E. Kemper

Donna E. Bennett Kemper, 87, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Holzer Assisted Living in Gallipolis. Donna was retired from the G.D.C, formerly G.S.I. as a psychiatric aid, a member of the Elizabeth Chapel Church where she had played the organ and sang in the choir and member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed traveling with the Senior Citizens of Madison County. Donna was born on August 17, 1921 in Sedalia, Ohio Madison County to the late Frank Alan and Bessie Mae Bostic Bennett. She was preceded in death by two husbands Earl Snider and by William Raymond Kemper in 1981. Also preceding in death were two granddaughters Kathleen Copley and D.D. Johnson; two sisters, Levona O'Brien and Bernice Saunders; two brothers Walter and Dallas Bennett. She is survived by a daughter Velma Orville Johnson of Bidwell from her first marriage, and by five granddaughters, Raelene Northup, Mary Burnette, Toni Johnson, Orvillette Riffle and Linda Johnson; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and expecting two more great great grandchildren shortly; three brothers-in-law George Kemper, Gordon Betty Kemper, and Ed Kemper a sister-in-law Mary Sonny Chandler; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews survive. Services will be 1 pm Tuesday February 17, 2009 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating, burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Her great grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
