Earl E. Casto

Earl E. Casto, 84, of Gallipolis passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at the Pleasant Valley Hospital in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia. He was born on October 31, 1924 in Henderson, WV to the Late Henry Casto and Amanda Clonch Casto Crandall. Earl was retired with over thirty years of service at the Gallipolis Developmental Center. He was a World War II Army veteran. He loved his family and enjoyed wood working, especially making miniature rocking horses. Earl was married for sixty-three years to Eva L. Caldwell Casto and she survives in Gallipolis. Also surviving is a daughter Susan E. Casey of Gallipolis, one grandson Charles E. Mary Casey of Gallipolis and three great grandchildren Nick, Lauren and Colin. He was preceded in death by two sisters Inez Buckley and Daisy Casto and by a brother Kenneth L. Casto. Graveside services will be 1 pm Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery with Tom Sanders officiating. There will not be any calling hours. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
