Edward Ellis

Edward Ellis, 88, the son of Edward and Jean Scott Ellis, died July 12, 2023 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He graduated from Marion Steele High School in Amherst, OH in 1951, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and attended Bowling Green State University. He was self-employed, training race horses, and selling antiques, when he met his late wife, Patricia, an elementary school teacher in Cleveland Public Schools. He is survived by his older brother, John (Carolyn) Ellis of Sarasota, FL; his nieces, Linda (Trevor) McNeill of Pipersville, PA, Jeanine Ellis (Tom Klausing) of Powell, OH, and Jeanette (Glen) Hale of Sarasota, FL; and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are with Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, OH. A memorial service will be held in the fall.
