Eleanor N. Fadeley, 95, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Holzer Assisted Living. Born on March 5, 1925 in Jackson, Michigan, Eleanor was the daughter of the late George R. and Verna A. Monroe Nichols. Eleanor married William “Bill” Fadeley in 1943. Bill preceded her in death on August 10, 2004. She was a retired supervisor of Medical Records at Holzer Clinic. Eleanor was a member of Simpson Chapel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of Simpson Chapel United Methodist Women, Gallia County Senior Citizens Center, Ohio Farm Bureau, Rio Grande Garden Club, and Cora Women’s Society of Christian Workers. Eleanor is survived by her children, Dorothy Tirpak of Gallipolis, E. Jane (Jim) Forshey of Lancaster, Ohio, Clyde (Sandy) Fadeley of Xenia, Ohio, Katherine (Dave) Junker of Lincoln, Nebraska, Michael Fadeley of Phoenix, Arizona, Margaret Fadeley (Linda Reichenbecher) of Louisville, Kentucky, John (Eva) Fadeley of Phoenix, Arizona, and Stephanie (Paul) Daines of Patriot, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; sixteen great great grandchildren; and one great great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and her husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Joe Tirpak and two grandchildren, Monica Daines and Aaron William Fadeley. The funeral service for Eleanor will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Lamphier officiating. Entombment will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens Chapel of Hope Mausoleum. Friends may call prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC guidelines of practicing social distancing and are required to follow the Ohio mandate of wearing face masks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Eleanor’s name to American Cancer Society or Simpson Chapel United Methodist Church. VIEW WEBCAST
