Elizabeth Butler, 81, Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Holzer Assisted Living. She was born on April 7, 1930 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Gilbert P. and Mildred Benedict Bush. She was a homemaker, member of Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, a 4-H advisor and Farm Bureau. She was married to Paul E. Butler, Sr., and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2007. Surviving are her children a son Paul “Ed” Butler, Jr., of Crown City, two daughters Carolyn (Bob) Haner and Paula (Earnie) Metzger both of Gallipolis, Grandchildren Jason (Bryna) Butler and their children Justin and Reece of Crown City, Jencie (Nate) Swindler of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris Saunders of Denver, Colorado and Scott Saunders of Gallipolis. One brother Gilbert B. Bush of Gallipolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter-in-law Ann Butler, grandson Kent Butler, Sister Alice J. Bush and sister-in-law Sarah Bush. Graveside services will be 11 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Swan Creek Cemetery with Pastor Jack Berry officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Elizabeths memory to Christ United Methodist Church, Holzer Assisted Living, Holzer Hospice or one’s charity of choice.
