Ella Mae Freeman Riggs

Ella Mae Freeman Riggs, 65, of Genoa, WV passed away on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born on March 8, 1944 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles P. and Maggie Marie Jeffers Freeman. She was a CNA care giver. Ella enjoyed canning, cooking, quilting, fishing and jet skiing. She was married to Leonard C. Riggs on May 26, 1985 and he survives her in Genoa, WV. She is also survived by a step son Jason Riggs, and a step daughter Carol Wallace both of Genoa, WV; four sisters, Lucille Fay Freeman, Gloria Jean Eddie Clonch, Sheila June Atha all of Gallipolis, and Ruthie Lynn Freeman of Crown City, Ohio, a sister-in-law Maudie Freeman of Scottown, Ohio; a host of step grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews including three special nephews Dakota Freeman, Chandler Geiger and Isaiah Geiger. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Charles Freeman. Services will be 1 pm Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Osburn officiating.
