Eunice G. Shane

Eunice G. Shane, 87, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1920 in Meigs County, Ohio daughter of the late Casper and Elizabeth Sarson Sayre. Eunice married Walter E. Shane and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1987. She was retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center where she worked for 28 years. She was also a member of Good News Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, James W. Shane of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Lori Tom Golden of Maryland and Chad Shane of Gahanna, Ohio; a step granddaughter Lisa of Chillicothe, seven great grandchildren; one sister Evelyn North of Gallipolis. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kelly M. Sayre and by two sisters Alberta Saunders and Marjorie Grimm and by a half sister Rowena Sarson Services will be 7 PM Friday, January 25, 2008 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Curry officiating.
