Eva A. Walker, 96, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 5, 1917 in Buffalo, West Virginia, daughter of the late John and Amy C. Adkins Wright. She was a homemaker and member of Promised Land Community Church. Surviving are two sons, Carroll Jean Walker and David S. Walker, both of Gallipolis; six daughters, Amy (Leroy) Barnett of Gallipolis, Alice Redmond of Grove City, Joyce (Ossie) Flowers of London, Ohio, Susan Siders, Rosemary (Truman) Johnson and Carolyn S. Burgess, all of Gallipolis; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents Eva was preceded in death by her former husband, James S. Walker, four sons – James Junior Walker, George Everett Walker, Dale Walker and John Walker, three daughters – Peggy, Betty, Little Eva Walker, 9 grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday October 19, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson and Rev. Jack Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
