Florene S. Watson

Florene S. Watson, 75, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born May 8, 1933 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Stanley P. and Mary L. White Saunders. Florene was married to Walter L. Watson on October 22, 1954. She retired in 2007 after 39 years as the Dietary Clerk for Holzer Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her husband, Walter L. Watson of Gallipolis; two daughters, Lorene Steve Sherwood of Gallipolis and Loretta Tim House of Fayetteville, Ohio; three sons, Lee Watson, Jeff Patty Watson and Tim Watson, all of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one nephew, Robert E. Saunders of Lavalette, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley P. Saunders in 1980 and Mary L. White Saunders in 2001, one son, Dean Watson in 1973, and one brother, Victor E. Saunders in 1961. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Polley officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery.
