Frank R. Cooper

Frank R. Cooper, 60, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 in Webster Springs, WV. He was born on March 21, 1948 in Mason, WV, son of the late Fred and Mary Woodrum Cooper. Frank was married to Lisa Holley and she survives him. He was an equipment operator for GKN and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Cooper of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; two daughters, Tina Danny Kelly of Chesapeake, Ohio and Kim Tommy Johnson of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Ashley Nicole and Eric Scott Foster, Haley Dawn and Derek Thomas Johnson, Austin Kelly; one great grandchild, Kirsten Alexis Foster; two brothers, John Loretta Cooper and Jim Roxanne Cooper, all of Point Pleasant, WV; two sisters, Shirley Jim Jordan of Hawesville, KY and Joyce Moe Sherritt of Lewisport, KY. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Clonch Cooper in 1990, a sister, Maxine Blankenship and a brother, Jackie Cooper. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry, WV with Rev. Kay Lowther and Rev. Simeul Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Reynolds Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home, Gallipolis, Ohio on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. There will be full military services by volunteers of area veteran's lodges.
