Freddy Martin Cox

Freddy Martin Cox, 54, of Vinton, passed away at his home on Monday, August 6, 2007. He was born on March 1, 1953 in Gallipolis to the late Franklin M. Pete Cox and Mary E. Martin Cox, who survives him. Freddy was married to Betty Ellen Russell on November 23, 1988 and she also survives him. He was retired from Federal Mogul. Surviving are his wife, Betty Ellen Cox of Vinton; two sons, Chad Cox and Timothy Cox, both of Gallipolis; two daughters, Becky Cox and Tiffany Allen Searls, both of Gallipolis; his mother, Mary Martin Cox of Gallipolis; three stepsons, Kiley Loretta Wagoner Taylor, Chad Taylor and Zane Taylor, all of Gallipolis; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Larry M. Linda Cox and Donald L. Kathy Cox, both of Gallipolis; two sisters, Sandra “Sissy” Ben Runyon of Bidwell and Nancy Steve Buck, of Gallipolis; a half brother, Ronnie Carolyn Cox and half sister, Juanita Dan Finn, both of Lima, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Cynthia Louise Cox. Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Stansberry officiating. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery.
