Garnet L. Queen

Garnet L. Queen, 92, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Holzer Senior Care. Born on March 17, 1930 in Crown City, Ohio, Garnet was the daughter of the late George and Laura Walls McGuire. Garnet married Jack Queen, who preceded her in death in 2003. Garnet was a homemaker and member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Garnet is survived by her sons, Larry (Sandy) Queen and Freddie (Pat) Queen both of Crown City; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and brothers, Glenvil McGuire of Jackson, Ohio and Lenvil McGuire of Ashville, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, Garnet was preceded in death by her sisters, Geneva Cox, Corena Thompson, Rosalee Dray, and Mildred Schumacker; brothers, Thurman McGuire, Lester McGuire, Sherman McGuire, Marvin McGuire, and Stanford McGuire; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Queen. The funeral service for Garnet will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor John Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
