Garnett Elizabeth Betsy Strait

Garnett Elizabeth 'Betsy' Strait, 56, of Bidwell, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her residence. She was born May 22, 1953 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Weldon T. and Mary Ellen Cremeans Strait. She was a member of Vinton Baptist Church. Surviving her are two sisters, Gwendolyn Marie Willard Sheets of Gallipolis and Margaret Rose Neuser of Corona, California; two brothers, Allen Blake Judy Strait of Gallipolis and Weldon Francis Carolyn Strait of San Bernardino, California; numerous nieces and nephews. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers David E. Strait, Meryle Strait and Jiles Strait and one infant sister. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery.
